Ingredients
  

Mushroom Skulls
  • 8 ounces whole white mushrooms for creating skulls
Spaghetti Base
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce use your favorite type, like marinara or alfredo
  • 12 ounces spaghetti can substitute with vegan pasta if desired

Method
 

Making Mushroom Skulls
  1. Brush dirt from mushrooms with a dry paper towel.
  2. Use a straw to poke two eye sockets into one side of the mushroom.
  3. Cut two small slits for a nose using a small paring knife.
  4. Scrape a few lines down the stem of the mushroom to create teeth.
  5. Cut the mushroom in half to make two skulls.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Lay mushrooms, flat side down, on a baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes.
Making Spaghetti
  1. While the mushrooms are baking, heat the pasta sauce in a saucepan.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain the pasta and mix it with the heated sauce.
  4. Plate the spaghetti and top it with the skull mushrooms.
How to Serve
  1. Serve Mushroom Skull Spaghetti hot, placing skull mushrooms right on top for a spooky appearance.
  2. Best enjoyed with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad.
  3. Optionally, sprinkle some grated cheese or fresh herbs over the top.
