Ingredients

Matcha Green Tea Latte
  • 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha green tea powder for vibrant color and smooth flavor
  • 1/4 cup hot water not boiling
  • 1/2 cup oat milk or almond/soy milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey optional; use stevia for low-carb

Equipment

  • Bamboo whisk
  • Saucepan or milk frother
  • Mug

Method

  1. In a small bowl, add 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and 1/4 cup hot water. Whisk in an “M” motion using a bamboo whisk until smooth and frothy.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup oat milk into a saucepan or milk frother. Heat until warm and frothy. Alternatively, use a microwave-safe jug and heat in 30-second intervals.
  3. Transfer the whisked matcha into a mug. Pour the warm, frothed milk over it. Stir to combine. Add sweetener if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Use high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha for best taste and vibrant color. Customize with sweeteners or plant-based milks. Enjoy hot or iced. For keto, use almond milk and low-carb sweetener.
