Why Make This Recipe

Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies are a fun and creative treat perfect for Halloween festivities. These spooky cookies are not just delicious but also easy to make, making them a hit with both kids and adults. They combine the classic Oreo flavor with a playful spider design, making them a delightful addition to any Halloween party or gathering.

How to Make Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dairy free)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 12 Oreo cookies (Halloween kind or double stuffed)
  • 36 pretzel sticks
  • 12 dozen small candy eyeballs
  • 3 tablespoons sprinkles

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Microwave the mixture for a minute or more until it is fully melted.
  2. Break 3 pretzel sticks in half. Twist the Oreo to remove the top wafer (the blank side) and press the pretzel sticks into the cream side of the Oreo.
  3. Pour 1/2 teaspoon of melted chocolate on top of the pretzel sticks, then press the ‘blank’ Oreo wafer back on top of the pretzel legs.
  4. Dip one side of the cookie into the melted chocolate. Place a couple of candy eyeballs on top and add sprinkles.
  5. Put the cookies in the fridge for 10 minutes or more so the chocolate hardens. Enjoy!

How to Serve Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies

Serve your Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies on a festive plate, perhaps with a spooky tablecloth or decorations to match the Halloween theme. They make great treats for parties or as a fun snack while watching a Halloween movie. The kids will love their spooky appearance!

How to Store Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies

Store leftover Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you want to keep them longer, you can also place them in the fridge for about a week. Just make sure to keep them covered so they don’t dry out.

Tips to Make Oreo Spider Halloween Cookies

  • Make sure the chocolate is fully melted and smooth for easier dipping.
  • Feel free to use any type of Oreos you like, including regular, Halloween-themed, or double-stuffed.
  • Get creative with your decorations! Use different types of sprinkles or other candies to enhance the design.

Variations

You can customize these cookies by using different types of cookies (like chocolate wafer cookies) or adding different candies on top. If you want a less sweet option, try using unsweetened chocolate instead of chocolate chips.
